Mark Winton had the pleasure of presenting coach Gez Sammon with the Chairman's Award for his outstanding contribution to the club over the past 8 years.

Gez obtained his Level 2 coaching Award and coached at every age group following his son's (Ben) development from an U10 to a widely respected U18 National League player.

For the last two seasons, Gez was coach Ed Fenech's right-hand man during their adventure in the U18s National League.

Congratulations Gez and we hope your involvement with the club will continue.

Costas Rakitzis had the pleasure of presenting Mawuse-Ayele Ayivi with the Volunteer of the Year Award for her outstanding and consistent contribution to the Boys basketball as a team manager for the U14s.

Mawuse is also our official kit-person who makes sure our boys and girls have their shooting shirts and hoodies when they become registered Blackhawks.Congratulations Mawuse and we hope you will follow in Gez's footsteps to see your son Noah play in the National League for the U18s.

The Volunteer of the Year award was established by coach Costa in memory of his wife Koula (a team manager and Level 2 table official) who contracted MND and passed away on 28 May 2015.

It was during the 2019 Winter Camp that six gifted young players worked as a team to score 123 contiguous baskets during a typical Shooting Arc challenge. This constitutes a new all-time club record that smashed the previous long-standing record of 88 baskets.

The proud boys are: Sean, Julian, Denver, Darragh, Max and Gabriel.
